Raşit Altun
Raşit Altun, born in Izmir in 1980, graduated from the Department of Visual Arts Education at Anadolu University. Developing his academic background through his individual practice, he stands out in contemporary Turkish painting with his figurative and narrative approach.
Focusing on themes of human life and existence, Altun brings together emotion, observation, and storytelling through a figurative language. The sincere and powerful expression in his paintings makes both individual and social layers visible.
Having held nine solo exhibitions, the artist has participated in international platforms, notably the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History, as well as exhibitions at the Louvre Carousel Hall and various international events. He has received numerous awards in competitions, and his works are included in both official and private collections.
